This Holiday...


You better bet there is a double meaning stuck in there. If I haven't mentioned them before I'm doing it now... go CHECK OUT "THIS HOLIDAY LIFE" otherwise how are you going to understand. Simple you won't. Check it out my friend Joe is in it.

I have to finish my c-mas shopping today, then wrap presents, then get ready to move, oh and Christine is getting Married on Tuesday... so I have to get together for that... There is some sadness though, I couldn't get tuesday off so I have to miss the snowboarding trip the guys planned, DAMN work. I'll tell you that sucks major you know whats. But maybe ill get to go with Luke and Christian sometime this season Jan 2005? anyone? SNOWBOARDING rocks my world.

Moving on


So I move in to my new place on Dec the 18th... I am beyond excited. My first home! I am in awe of this place. Time for a fresh start in the scary strance city that is... San Marcos. Alright, well its not that scary or strange. It should be interesting... See, I will be livin' with the girls. I don't forsee any problems but who knows. I do know that it means more home cooked meals by me, fun landscaping the place, buying furniture, paying for utlities, and tons more bills. But, its going to be the ish folks. Ill give you the skinny on the addres and new home number as soon as possible. For now it's off to work.

Out with the old in with the new...


So, I know its been a VERY long time since I last updated... Life has changed a little. I was promoted at work, I now work in La Costa with all the snobby people I grew up with. It just well... Lets just say its less then wonderful. If it wasn't for the enormous raise I received for taking the position I'd prob hate my job. I have my own desk now, and a lot of responsibility. I am in a nice location though I great co workers... If you want to know the full drama stop by and we'll go to lunch.

I started a catering/party planning company "No Disclosure Necessary" web site to come soon. The first party we are planning is OCT 30th from 9:00 - 12:00 come, in costume and with a few bucks for drinks... e-mail me for the rest of the details.

My grandfather visited the last 2 weeks... and he watched "A Chorus Line" and LOVED IT?! Interesting... he wants me to go to his school in the Philippines and teach... that would be cool who knows.

SNOWBOARDING season started in Mammoth this week... LUKE, LACEy and I are planning a trip in Jan for a week or so anyone else game? Ill drop details for that soon... even cooler...

I AM GETTING A HOUSE in San Marcos!!! I pick out the tile, paint and carpet color this week... 1 ACRE baby! Hard work and kindness to pay off. Who knew?!

I did Quit NUMBERS, though I miss it I'll probably work there again next summer... but for now I make more the a decent amount of money at the Bank.

I have new roommates for now... Interesting crowd... and that's all I can say. So what's new anyone?

I shall try...


Things I have noticed that EVERYONE DOES...

Talk about people behind thier backs, no you all do it. We should try to stop but it never lasts long. My only thing be prepared to deal wtih the consiquences when whomever you are talking about finds out. If you couldn't say it to their face dont say it. (of course talking about problems is exempt)

Spend money they dont have doing things they could avoid doing. Yeah, I seem to remember my 100.00 night out sunday... woohoo marys and richs were fun though.

Never EVER get enough sleep... yeah that would totally be me.. even when I have the chance to fall alsleep or go to bed early I don't because my days are so packed... its good though.

Even friends have small problems and fight... but good friends can roll with teh punches, kick back and everything heals.

Growup... at different rates but grow up.

The week from hell

Funny thing about this topic is that nothing horrible happened as a matter of fact the week was very nice. I was just too busy, that's all. I think I am getting old 4 hours of sleep doesn't cut it anymore especially when I have to be awake and alert at work. I could pile the rest of my personal worries and conundrums on this particular entry but I will save that for another day... Perhaps.

The new me.


I know it has been quite some time since I last updated this B-log. It's Sunday so I'll take a few moments to catch you up. I started a second job this week, to make some extra cash for the next few months. I am now on "security" at numbers, so you all should come down and visit and have a good time. If I haven't told you yet, it is my favorite bar and the job is definitely something that I enjoy. Great people and the other fringe benefits.
YAY, for the Protection of Marriage act NOT passing. Now don't get me wrong I believe that marriage is something special between two people. But I don't think it would have done us any good to write discrimination in the the constitution. First tenant of life and religion... Love.
This summer is shaping up to be a nice one. I went to Soak City with lacy on Tuesday. I'm am going rock climbing/surfing with Luke and Christian today and then to Karaoke tonight. I was given a promotion at the Bank and a raise! YAY! Life is really good right now. The car situation is still all in limbo. I have wheels just not the ones I want... But a car is a car is a car.
Next month Luke and I are moving in to an apartment in San Marcos. That should be a blast, I know all four of us are going to work well together so I'm not worried. I continue to go to the gym, at this point I am definitely addicted to going and eating healthier.
The sleep situation is taking some getting used to but I am def. Adjusting to it quickly. What's new with all of you?

Let me get political for a moment


What brought this on... Not so equal...
More to come...

We just had this huge 4th of July celebration, as a country. Nearly everyone I know was more then happy to celebrate our country and our freedoms. However, I guess sometimes people want freedom for themselves and no one else. Though this document holds not legal power I think its very important we remember certain phrases from the Declaration of Independence...

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed...


Can we take a short look at the preamble to the constitution...

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Here is my point, we struggled so hard and so long for religious freedoms, to make our government work for the welfare of the people. Tell me how doing this up holds those struggles. Perhaps the biggest argument I have heard regarding gay marriage is that it would create the opportunity for more "un ethical" acts to be legalized. We have faced so much as a nation, to deny a group of citizens certain rights that are available to the majority doesn't contend well with our past. What ever your opinion let me know.

A new slant


Every so often I discover somthing new about myself, friends, the world or whatever. Lately... I think I have been discovering too much. It's very true ignorance is bliss, ignorance is also intolerable. But there are parts of my mind that want to remain as innocent as possible so I on occasion choose to ignore certain media events. I have been going to the gym a lot lately... though this last week I have kinda been slowing it down just a minor lapse trust me. I am all about the magic tan now though no cancer, no alligator skin when I am older all the healthy glow! Life is good, damn life is great besides the car situation... but even that will be chaneing soon. oh...

Where to end.


Harry Potter 3: The Prisoner of Askaban is, well, good. New director, longer book... I think the first two were more entertaining. If you haven't read the books this tird movie may get you alittle lost. But I was glad I go to go see it midnight Thursday, if anything is was just fun to hang out with the friends. Have you ever noticed when you are in your "home area" you can't help but see people you know everywhere... Harry Potter for example... Outr group, Crystal, Robyn, Sara, Lacey, Myself, Christine, (luke was sick), then I see Brooke, Vince, and Andrew, Lacey sees Adam Rocco and company, I get in side Ryan is working, Sam Ginn is in the same theater, and I meet up with the Hobson boys. Random.

Friday Luke meets the rest of us up at Pizza Port in Carlsbad we hit up Giblins and Henessy. WE all have good old time. Every one except for Crystal and Myself get drunk. I get to drive Kennys car home (Sooo nice!) and thats, that.

Saturday night I go to a party... and I get to hang out with Greg... cool guy. hmm

Of course when I get home its all about the non-fat yogurt, fresh fruit and salads. I do run, and go to the gym... but I should no longer wonder why I haven't seen any recent results.

The changing times...


So change is "good" right? I mean thats what we hear so often. I mean I believe in change too. Because, being accepting of change is healthy. HOwever, at some point when you are faced with change don't you think its good to question why? We'll thats all I have on that subject. When I have more time I'll elaborate... that is time permitting.

I haven't seen Luke in a long time. Had good conversations with chris... I feel like im loosing my best friend.

Wasted, yeah basically wasted


Now, normally sunday nights at numbers are fun and very relaxing despite the long drive to San Diego. It's the one day of the week where I can really let go and just party, sing a few karaoke songs drink, smoke and do all sorts of horribly un-healthy things. We tend to get there between 9:30 and 10:00 and stay till just about 1:00. We get hooked up by our favorite bartenders Ronnie and Jared, Jessie usually buys us a round of drinks and the crowd is mellow, usually not more then say 25 of us in the bar. Robyn and I get up and sing a few songs each, on occasion we are joined on stage by Crystal, Lacey or Christine. Singing a wide variety of songs. I usually sing, Semi-charmed life and Wonderwall. However, this Sunday was not a USUAL Sunday. Here's why...

Last night:
Robyn, Lacey, Crystal, Sarah and I went to numbers. I drove Lacey's car. We left alittle late 9:15 so we arrived and parked by about 10:00. It was Ronnies last day at Numbers. See Ronnie is one of the bartenders at Numbers, she is moving to Sacramento to finish up school to become a Vetranarian. So we get there, Jared (yes another Jared)my friend who is a bartender as well is working and another bartender friend of mine Jessie is there. 3 Drinks, a Shot of Jegermiester and a Hinekin later... I am trashed and Lacey is too. Sarah and her were downing a great drink called a Black Lemonaide, Crystal was taking Dirty Blonde shots and Robyn was gone. I ended up singing the Britney song Lucky and smoking well yeah way too much. But its not over yet, some of the other employees at Numbers had made their way to another club Richs... So its 1:00 am we all decide to drunkenly stumbe the fice and a half blocks there, and Dance till we get kicked out at 2:00am. Then we need to get mexican food to kill our hangovers. Which means Sarah and I walk another two and a half blocks to the Bank to pay for the food. Now 2:30 we sit down to the BEST Carne Asade Fries, Burritos and rolled tacos ever. The walk back we pick up yet another pack of cigaretts and Crystal and Sarah have to go pee... Have you ever even though about a girl having to go in the bushes... well its not pretty. I felt bad about that. :-( but that was all done and we drive back home. All the while entertained by Robyn's sleep talking/singing. Its now about 4:00 am I had to wake up for work at 7:00... and after all that I went to spoons to party with co-workers... Its now TUESDAY night I am finally finishing this b-log... and I'm still tired.

Lessons:
Karaoke, is soo much more fun when everyone is drunk with you.
Free drinks are always welcome... get to know your bartenders.
Nothing beats good friends, food, dancing, and walking around San Diego at 2:30am.
It's so much easier to be a lush when you forget about work and responsibilities.

Excited


So today I finally got my Play Station 2 back. It's all fixed and everything. Which means I will once again be free to waste vast amounts of time playing video games. Wooohoo.

Been going to the gym as usual. Have to drag everyone there now... but its good. Crystal swears she hates me every day I make her go, but always feels better once we get home. Not too happy with my progress yet, but that's alright.

I am going to the beach again this weekend. Hopefully, this will turn in to a tradition. I have to make up for going to the beach only 2 times last summer. I have to darken a little its so. cal. for goodness sake. That and I need to get in some good bodyboarding. Eventually, Luke or Christian is going to take me surfing a few times as well.

I don't know if I am anticipating summer. But I am definitely ready for something.

Thoughts.


Someone who calls a person a coward (def.One who shows ignoble fear in the face of danger or pain.) really has no idea what they are talking about. When you can't face your own past with out freaking out because for some reason tha past is painful... yeah think about that one. I have comepletely moved on you should too. I don't want you as a friend anymore, you broke the trust.

Cranium is a very very fun game. I am really diging this whole game night thing, it's great and it's inexpensive.

Going to the gym is great. I feel so much healthier, stronger, and energetic.

Dating around is not a bad thing, its seeing more then one person at a time and trying to call it a relationship that is bad.

The season


Spring is finally here, the warm weather, birds, bees, spring cleaning, BBQ's, and all of that "fun". I guess everyone is too busy with finals, being outside, their personal lives and everything else to update much. Same goes for me but I'll try to write a little... Without incirminating myself too much lets just say I have been meeting a lot of people lately, kinda nice. I didn't go the the gym at all last week so I feel endlessly out of shape once again. That should change tonight as Crystal and I make the treck back to 24 hour fitness. It should be a good night, i'll be tired and sore but good.

Heres a list of random facts about me, just because.

As for coffee I drink espresso mostly, in the form of soy lattes. Lately, I have take to soy Chi-tea lattes though.

I love to cook, anything and everything. Though I am not that great of a Baker. I'm all about kitchen stuff.

Hanging out with friends is by far my favorite thing to do. With a large group, a few close friends or one on one.

Missed.


I have been neglecting my b-loging duties. I haven't been to inspired to write much the last week. That said let me junp right in.

Gene opened his newest houses last weekend. Nine, houses in San Marcos with two diferent floor plans. The First one is two stories, where the second floor is entirely devoted to being a master bedroom and the other model is a one floor version. Both are pretty big, and packed with some of the coolest stuff. (whirlpool bathtubs, marble counters etc...) I really hope I can "purchase" one for next year. Another cool little thing is that both houses feature a studio apartment or guest house on the lot as well. Cool for sure.

About pictures... I need a name for this website thing. I was also thinking about making it a "community" for all of us to b-log, commment on etc... what do you think? Thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

IM Sick.


No, no I mean really sick. Like not healthy at the moment, depending on drugs (prescription of course) to feel better. Anyway, I have a sinus infection. Not to spare you all the details, but I cough up green stuff, it hurts to move, I have a headache and fever. I couldn't breathe earlier, I can't really eat anything and I just generally feel very weak. I'm supposed to go back to work tomorrow... I don't know if that's actually going to happen yet. Have you ever noticed day time TV is really sleazy. I'll have to admit though I am glad to get my daily dose o General Hospital in, its nice. On another note.

Gene has his housing grand opening this Saturday, if you want to come to the grand opening of the development call me and let me know. The houses are rad (I got to see them before they were opened... Advantage of being in the family and being the corporate accountant) and I may be purchasing one at the end of the summer. Well, that's about all folks... I'm getting kind of light headed so I'd better lay back down.

I'm going to give this one more shot...


Starting with my official Birth Day APRIL 15th (keep in mind as I write this it's already April 21st)
Thursday April 15th
I had to work today. Which all in all wasn't that bad of an experience. My firends at work bought me a hella good strawberry tart cake, with custard on the bottom... heavenly. Crystal stopped by to say "hi" and the girl brought me a Grande Soy Latte. My mom, Arin, Justin, Dad, Momsie and Jessica meet me for lunch at Onami... needless to say I grubbed on the sushi fo' sho'. Then Robyn stopped by to say hi too (a total surprise since I haven't seen the girl in almost a month). Move on to that night.
Sarah, Jessica, Crystal and I make it to Moonlight beach for a little bonnfire action.... I swear those dura flame logs we used were "okay" to cook over... Shhh! Sean ended up at the beach as well, and a little later Lou and one if his friends rolled on by. I made smores, and ate way too many hot dogs. Al the while Crystal and Sarah were drinking umm... coke... yeah! Yay, for drinking a little at the beach. We then proceeded over to Martini Ranch Encinitas. Where Nate, Russ, Eric, and Lacey meet us. We all had a great time I got free drinks, paid no cover charge and Nate was there... I think Jessica had some fun too, umm err toying with Russ LOL. Such a blast. The Next day...

Friday April 16th
Lacey's sister (thanks to Laceys Reccomandation) got me a small part in an independent film called the "Analog Dream" (Produced by:Sky Tree PIctures. Its this modern film, about hackers and secrets it actually seems like a prety neat movie. The costumes and script were pretty good. Anyway the film is going to play in September / October at the San Diego Film festival, and there are submissions under way for Sundance as well. I played a Yuppie / Black market Dealer real shasdy character. who ends up getting shot in the end. Pretty darn cool. Most of my lines will prob. get cut but I do get to be on camera for a while and one or two of my lines should make it in... I hope! Great fun... Ill keep you all updated as I hear more. It wasa a long day try 8.5 hours for the shoot... and I got there at noon. The crew and everyone else was there at 7:00 am. Mood after that, Stoaked but... Exhausted.

Saturday April 17th
The day started early... CLEANING TIME! WE were off out pickingup the Keg, the Helium Tank, the rest of the decorations and food. Then It was break time while Crystal went on her Date... Luke and Chris took me to pizza port for lunch went home and over 100 ballons, 200 feet of streamers, and nearly $550.00 later we were ready for the party.

The party it's self was... well it was a BLAST! IT was DRAMA! (fo' yo' momma) and it was really nice to see all of you there. Luke and I think there were nearly 75 people over the course of the night. Still... I missed some of you. The rest of the details of the party are very very long and complicated... I may disclose more later but for now... that is enough.

Birthday Parties...


Here is yet another B-day announcement... have conferred with my partners in crime and all... the final decision has been reached.

My Actual B-day
April 15th
Moonlight Beach Encinitas Bonn fire 6:00 - 10:00pm or around there. Then heading over to martini ranch Encinitas to finish out the night.

April 17th
The Rager party at my house... be there starting at 8:30 till 1:00 am. Its going to be great folks... e-mail me at EntertainmentJP@Msn.com to let me know if you are coming and for directions etc... Beer will be on hand we have decided on Heniken, and of course jungle juice. Bring your own alcohol other wise, gifts of bottles of wine, cards and the like are much welcome. As always your presence is my present enough.

April 18th
Disneyland Trip if you want to come let me know we are going from 12 noon to about 6:00 pm. A Short But fun trip... then of course that night at Numbers in Hillcrest... Champagne and Karaoke!

Unexpected, song.


Whoa, last night was a total blast... and completely unexpected. Jen and Rodney were there with little Aaron (who has the cutest blue eyes ever!) it was so great to see them. Of course all the crew was there, and for an added bit of fun Chris P., Jolena, Erin, Jeff and his sister all showed up too. It was so great. Of course Jeff and I made plans to have a little get together friday night...that is after I get home from the Belly up. Tonight I am driving to LA to see This Holiday Life play AGAIN! I am taking pictures of the band etc... if they end up on their website Ill let you all know. Eventually I will post pictures from last night, from Crystals B-day, and from every other event... I am working on putting together a picture website for all of you all... let me know if you are interested.

Thnking about getting a domain name, doing some actual graphic design, and all that. What do you think? Would you read it?

Friday April 2, 2004
CRYSTALS 21st B-day sooo much fun. We (Me, Chris, Lacey, Sarah, and Crystal) partied in the gaslamp at five different clubs and had an awesome dinner at the Pier Cafe in seaport village. Happy B-day Crystal we have to do it again soon.
Note: Scooby Snacks are my new favorite shot. Yay, for being a lush.

Saturday April 3, 2004
Rolled out of bed in the morning and went to work, got there early too. Then the best half day off ever... went to the Beach, Keliani's (Kahlua Pig YUMMY), and drove around encinitas/Carlsbad with the top down on Crystals Mustang... once again big ups to that girl for all the good quality time. Had a nice chill night with Kathy (YAY! Visting from Northridge), Luke, Chris, Sean and Crystal... did the huka thing. Watched a movie and had a great night.

Sunday April 4, 2004
Slept in, had a day off from the GYM, then Kathy and I went to Oggis Pizza... sooo good. Oggi's Sticks, and Wings... yummy. Then Karaoke at numbers... AS USUAL I was the only person who sang... well at least voluntarily. Kathy and I did get up there to sing "Summer Nights" so that was fun. Perhaps I'm not the greatest singer but I do alright for myself. I sang Broadway by the Goos and Semi- Charmed Life by 3rd eye blind. It was fun.

Then the work week began again... Although... Tuesday April 5, 2004
Luke and I hung out in the morning, had quick bite to eat, and I got to go to the GYM with Crystal that was cool... (im on a mission more on the GYM thing later) so yeah. Now back at work... not to interesting but I was busy.

Basically it means you clap when someone breaks a glass at a restauraunt, or laugh when someone falls, if you have ever witnessed anything unfortunate happen to some one else and secretly felt good about it/or laughed then you know what schadenfreude means.

I have the wonderful opportunity to just browse the internet all day at work. So I thought I'd share some of the interesting artices that I found today.

GAS Prices, lets all be thankful we dont live in the UK. But then again, it seems like everwhere else they have much better public transportation. (I mean San diego CA has horrible public transportation.... its so slow. Allthough the coaster, and the trolley are getting better they still dont compare to the metro, the NYC subway/warterway/bus ssystem.

i-tunes still rocks my world... don't suppourt walmart. The next saddest attempt for them to "break in to" the consumer electornics arena. My opnion, its Ghetto not Ghetto Fab. either... just ghetto. Go to Target, go to K-Mart for goodness sake! (I mean at least they have martha)... just dont suppourt walmart.

Wow, it really is MONDAY. It's definitely MONDAY. I haven't had a monday, monday like this in a LONG time. Just worn out monday... I cant wait to go home but the day really isn't dragging on at all. Its one of those days were you would just rather be at home, ya know? I even have time to write some so its not all bad. I just really want to get home, change, go running, do some work and relax... (some how that dosent sound too relaxing... but it is im sure of it) and then sleep inpreperation for snowboarding TOMORROW. Chris and Lacey are coming why aren't you?! (Luke you have a bye for this one seeing as how you have a back injury... gonna mis ya on that one bro... Everyone else no excuses)

Have you ever meet someone. Talked to them for a while had some good interesting phone conversations and then had them just totally blow you off. Well I guess it was about my turn. I dunno why, and in fact it actually bugs me quite a bit. Perhaps, what works in theory just dosent always come oput to be in reality. Tooo many varibles. That set aside. I guess nothing else is buggin' me right now things are going well. I just need to get my self in order, school wise. I have a long way to go in that department. Now that I am actually looking at things.

Tan lines...


It's nice to be able to be no so white anymore... however, I still suffer from the snowboarding tan... If you havent seen it its not so great. But since snoboarding yesterday its even more pronounced... a certain someone forgot to put on some much needed sunscreen... afterall I am still a mostly white boy. I have a horrible tan line on my forehead where my hat was covering, then a streak of red between that space and where my glasses were, then again white and red on my cheeks etc.. Not super painful but its gonna darken unevenly... ugh. So Lacey and I resolved to go sunless tanning next week... I need to be less white. It hurts folks for sure.

I hope...

Luke gets better quickly, that he dosent have athritis, and that he ges a massive settlement cause hes loosing out on sooo much.

Spring Broken...


No, I didn't really go anywhere for "spring Break" but I still got to party like a spring breaker... Thank goodness for house parties. No, joke. 2 nights in a row, just drinking and doin' a few other things. Start off on Friday night with our first BBQ of the spring party. Burgers, Baked Potatoes, and Beer. All cooked to perfection, im talking gourmet here I even made portabello mushrooms for my non beef eating friends. Of course we played pool, foozeball, had a few shotguns, and introduced even more people to ten fingers. That followed by Saturday night. I made spagetti. And we have now fully broken in my new blender from Bed Bath and Beyond. Thankgoodness for Crystal and her employee discount... I also purchased a few new things for my bed, and some killer candles. We played "True Dare" this game Robyn gave me for christmas... definitely a fun drinking game. I made plans with Lacey to go snowboarding on tuesday, and for some reason got REALLY hungry around 3:00 am so we hade to make a trip over to I-HOP... Hmmm? ;-) Its all about the stuffed french toast. To die for. So maybe I didnt party every day and night, but I still had a spring break. What did you do? or What are your plans... fill a brother in!

There's a ringing in my ears...


Friday NIGHT
NO joke folks. I think someone stood a little close to the speakers last night. AND I got to see Kathy, and everyone else it was great. But about the speakers... you guess it that was me... YUP. It was a blast you have to sign up for the This Holiday Life mailing list. Get the CD I have some for sale, suppourt your local music. Pictures coming soon, I will have a huge picture update in the next day or so. I am loving the digi cam. and the PS2. The Boulevard in San Marcos is one of my new favorite places what else is there to do. Of course there is the occasional movie night and I do still spend time being "productive" and all that.
Saturday NIGHT
So great, to have a guys night out again, no kidding. Went over to Luke's made some mashed potatoes, had some chips and burgers. Awesome. And of course had some good ol' fashoned coors light. If I ever felt like the "token" I did that night. All in all though good times were had by all.
Sunday NIGHT & day
Worked on our cars all day long. They both look so pretty. Crystal and I had a day though... I think she is still trying to get her passenger side break installed... or well yeah. See the driver's side was no problem, but the passenger's side, well the bolt was insanely tight. I couldnt get it off, and neither could dad, so that one goes to the mechanics. Its nice to have a super clean car... Im getting it detailed this month too. Now on to the bedroom, I think I am going to move some of the furniture around.
KaRaOkE as usual sunday night this time though Emily, Lacey and Sarah Made it out. I sang my usual, then Butchered Jumper, and we finished it all with seasons of love. It was a good night, got to talk to Jessie and made plans with Robyn and Anell to go out Saturday night.
Monday NIGHT
Luke and I went to the Longboard in PB to listen some guys who play covers by Dave Matthews, John Mayer and the like... I thought they were good Luke on the otherhand didn't really like them. Either way we only stayed for about an hour or so. And Early night for sure.
Tuesday
Went to school today, for a few hours then had lunch with Jessica. Proceeded to be extremely lazy the rest of the day by. 1. Breaking in my new PS2... oh so sweet. I truly am stoaked on that thing.

Who knows what the next few days will bring... Snowboarding next week for sure.

Oh Luke and I got to go boarding while it was snowing a Bear too! A good time... pictures coming soon! (once I get home and upload them... seeing as how I am at work now)

Karaoke?!


So my regular place for karaoke is Numbers on Sunday nights. Yesterday night was no exception. AWESOME night. I San g2 songs, had fun in the contest and Robyn got 1st runner up! All in all a good night, got to talk to and meet some nice people once again, and see my favorite bar tenders... OMG I have favorite bartenders... hey at least its only once a week or so. Anyway a few things... this FRIDAY at the Boulevard in San Marcos my friends band is playing "This Holiday Life" you should all come out and represent. I have CD's if you wish to purchase them too. COme out and have a good time. Other wise I am going snowboarding tomorrow THANK GOODNESS! I really need to go to. Anyone want to come?? Let me know!

Boxed, in...


So today I am working the drive window... just to cover a lunch... I have never felt Like I was in such a small space ever... not even working at an INSTORE... the money of course is hella good still. I cant remember the last time I recieved 900+ dollar paychekcs well, besides those times I have directed, or produced shows. It's nice to be regular again, in that respect. So yeah, rain I wish it woudl just keep raining none of this on and off stuff. Make up your mind clouds. Sheesh! This sunday I am going to be in the karaoke contest at NUMBERS you should all coume out its going to be fun. Gonna leave at aroun 9:30 ish to get there and have a drink or two then singing time.

An UPDATE AS WELL!
I went to see a live audience taping of "Will and Grace" on Tuesday... so much fun. Yay for me! Kathy and I had a good time hanging out. I am so glad I get to see her still, make me feel all good inside. For sure, we got to see the whole cast and for reals people in person they are 10 times cuter... Sean Hays, Eric, Debra, and Megan are so cool. The taping so so much like a "play rehearsal" it was easy for me to relate to the process. I was for the first time ever star struck that day not just with the cast but the guest star as well, Sharon Osborne... it was hella cool. My Favorite show for real still I can't wait till the season 2 DVD comes out. ROCK on...

Come to Karaoke on Sunday you won't be dissapointed. I promise.

Stanky, my new word.


Oh so today, o man oh man. First off its slow at work yet again... its the rain no one likes to do their banking unless they absolutely have to or if you are a stanky ass... Yeah you heard me a stanky ass.
Example:

The guy who sits at the corner you know em' beggin for change and all like it was profitable. Now, I'm not saying this particular customer was one of those umm errr... street vendors (what they sell I have no idea) but he might as well have. You know how someone can look smelly but they way they look can in no way compare to the way they smell. Whats worse is I swear the guy KNEW he was smelly either that or he was having minor seizure's. He kept turning his head and smelling himself. (yeah I know I am loosing Karma Points by the milli second) Anyway, I swear the whole time the guy was asking me about his account I was gagging... then, ugh then I had to take and process his withdrawal... ugh no never again. From now I am wearing plastic gloves. Thank goodness for Purell... It was STANKY.

Lather Rinse repeat folks.... for real. And thats just one...

Other then that Luke, Chris and I went to this new bar/club in San Marcos called the boulevard last night. NICE place pretty cool what even better Tuesday and Thursday college nights... either way CHEAPNESS. $2.00 you call its and then Thursday $1.00 beers. NICE, anything that can help me be as much of a lush as possible.J/K It was fun, we sat out side by one of the fire pits and talked for a good 2 hours or so. The place is supposed to be a good restaurant as well, so I'll have to go there for lunch or dinner sometime. Anyone want to come? Alright enough for now, branch manager just got back from lunch... back to work wooo.

Saturday tradition?!


So I work every saturday, 8:45 - 1:15 in fact I am working as we speak. I think I am going to start doing my daily b-log from work every saturday... after all who does banking on Saturday??!! Well, I should know I mean I did work at an in-store office for 2.5 years, and we were busy 7 days a week even on holidays. Now, I have some tenure I get to work in a real branch and have a real desk. It's nice, very nice. Except for the fact I have to deal with 8 keys and a combination to a vault that I will NEVER get correctly. But yeah so hows this I just went throught 25k in 3 hours, and the branch as a whole has prob given out about 80k... ummm throw some of that my way. haha, want to e-mail me at work to keep me entertainment PLS do so. my e-mail is Jared.Pixler@uboc.com. I just had to


Shout outs. Now this is by no means an inclusive list. But, here are some "Shout Outs" to you peeps I have seen this last week.

Luke: The Best Friend. No one I know compares. We have been friends a long time now. This next adventure, should be interesting. Always there for you, no matter what. Hes the kind of guy willing to put his problems aside for a moment so you can deal with yours. A rock if I ever had one. MY snowboarding compadre and partner in crime...

Crystal: The Roommate Our Parents were friends back in highschool. Ironic that we would be such good friends instantly. Couldn't ask for a better person to live with. This girl is always ready to go out, barback for me or just chat. Oh, and she is my shoppin' buddy too.

Lacey: The Coffe Friend Like she said, we used to hang out alot more often. Now we get together, at TGI Fridays for drinks or Starbucks for coffee and good conversation. Soo excited this girl finally bought a snowboard, I hope we get to go and break it in soon. Shes one of those people that will always listen.



Chris S.: The other Best Friend I swear when L, J, and C hang out things always get crazy. This guy is def. one of my favorite people to talk about "life" with and other such nonsense. Always up for anything and I mean anything. We are going to b business partners, someday when we open out club / dinner theater. This guy is one of the only reasons I am sticking with theater after the ACL fiasco.

Sarah S.: The Biatch What can I say, shes bitchy, she also really nice and sincere at the same time? (very odd) but for sure, add yet another fun person to go out with. Very modest as well. But for some reason she is a good friend. Thats all that matters. I like her shes, great.

Robyn D.:Party Gril?! Who would have thought this girl would turn out to be such a partier. But she is and boy can she party. Has one hellofa good voice too. Shes, started to help take the burden of planning everysingle event, its nice to just be invited sometime. I can firmly say I am 50% responsible for making this girl the lush she is today.

Jason M.:Older bro Jason has been dubbed honorary older brother. Basically because he is hella protective of me. And is always telling me things I like to tell my lil' bro J. So for that fact he is also one of my favorite people I hardly get to see. Although see if he has the time he would do near anything for a good friend. Def. a keeper guys.

J2: Lil' Brother Though I can hardly call J "little" he is my younger brother. Quiet type, though the rest of the family is clueless, we have a very good understanding of eachother. I'd never trade him for anything in the world. Hes my brother.

To the rest of you I'll add you in future installments. If I get around to it. someday soon Ill be adding subpages and all that. So keep your shirts on... well you can take them off if you want just send a picture. ;-) Ciao for now.

Changes, that's what life's about...


I guess, like mother like son? Well anyway, my mother and I have been on the freakishly same wavelength though its nothing I will openly admit to her. Thinking about the "past" and changes in the future, then changing our minds etc. I don't know how healthy it is to relate to ones own mother in so many ways and still have interesting arguments at the same time. My dad used to say, and probably still says "you are your mothers child". Anyway getting back to the point. Do you ever think that at times, you may be too grounded in your own opinions. So much so that you forget t look at both sides of every argument. Now, don't get me wrong but there is something very good about knowing where you stand. But to accept one view as absolute seems a bit foolish. What are your thoughts? I know this... there is something that needs to be seen and understood. Fairness and Openmindedness.

Next, here is a fun exercise. Make your name in to an Acrostic, make sure its descriptive. Here are two that I came up with. The First one is my favorite, and I like to think its mostly true.

A story...


I wrote this a while back, I have done some editing on it, but I am sure it still needs more. What do you think about it? (Still a Work In Progress) The finished product will prob be much longer I'll keep you all posted.)

James sat at his desk. His eyes were fixed on the blue, white and black images in front of him. It was one in the morning, the television provided ambient background nose that he dare not turn off, less he be subjected to silence. He hated silence. He focused on the computer program running before him, but not exactly sure what he was supposed to be doing. He should be asleep now he thought to himself. But there was no reason he had to sleep. Tomorrow would be another day, he had little to do. Besides get his life back in order.
“What a life.” He said.
Just moments ago he had been looking at pictures of someone he thought was in his past. It’s hard to count someone in your past that embodies everything you know you could be. James was an intelligent young man. He was twenty-two years old. He stood taller then average, though many of his friends were taller then him, and that made him feel inadequate at times. Though he wasn’t fat he knew he could be in better shape. He knew he was blessed with great eyes though, blue one day green the next. They were the one aspect of his appearance that constantly received compliments.
“Right” he whispered under his breath.
Why was he thinking of the past now. That was a stupid question he thought to himself. He always thought of the past, one person who had gotten to know him well had told him.
“You live in the past, James its 2001 not 1999.”
Maybe I live life 2 years behind everyone else he thought. Now the year was 2003, October. Nearly 2 years ago since that first relationship ended. Oh where had time gone? Surely he had done something worthwhile in those last two years. His room had suddenly grown cold. It was definitely fall now. Which meant that soon the two trees out side his window would shed their leaves, it would rain, and somewhere in the mountains it would begin to snow. He couldn’t wait for the snow. Over the last 2 years he had taken up a new hobby, snowboarding. He had only traveled to the mountains twice before he bought his own board, boots, and bindings. The board was red and black, the bindings that are used to strap the boots to the board were red, black, and chrome, and his boots were grey and red. Red and black wonder what that means he thought.
He looked left to his bed then right out his bedroom window. It was black outside; two of the lamps in his room had red bulbs. His bed was a mess, covered in papers, a few bits of odd laundry that he folded earlier piled neatly at one end and an empty Gatorade bottle resting against the wall. Some one was trying to sell insurance on television, he was tired and it was dark. His hands smelled of cigarettes. He wasn’t a smoker but had taken to smoking when offered. Earlier that night his new roommate Michelle had offered him one. There was something rebellious about smoking at home is his back yard that made him feel better about himself for a while. Though he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was. He knew he would feel it in the morning, he knew, he couldn’t escape his problems. He needed focus.
He sunk down in to his chair. It was a nice black leather chair he had purchased a year ago, for a bargain thirty-nine dollars. Again he stared long and hard at the screen before him. The television continued on in the background. For him it provided constant noise, information, education and entertainment. When he needed to be alone he turned it on. Sometimes, he would actually watch the programs. That could be quite entertaining, and educational. But it never served up answers to his problems; but it served him, he didn’t feel alone when it was on. At the moment he was missing someone. Someone, he hadn’t had live contact with in over a year. Someone, he had loved, still loved and missed. He glanced back at the TV. Hoping to get lost in its programming, but to no avail. The program currently playing was too bizarre to interest him at the moment. He yearned for the mundane.
He didn’t like being alone. He wanted the company of fiends of live people right now. But he was tired, he was light headed, and he was alone… despite the television. Why had he looked at those pictures tonight? They were so happy, he wasn’t in them, but they were happy. This shouldn’t have surprised him or bothered him at all. They were friends they had even talked on the phone and had several typed conversations. Some of which he had saved. He felt like a stalker. He wasn’t but that was how he felt .after all. He never thought it possible to miss someone so much. He felt guilty, and inadequate. Guilty because he didn’t miss his cousin the same way, his cousin who had died two years ago, he didn’t. What made those five or six months so special. Why was it now? His room was getting colder still. Reminding him of the time, it would soon be time for another major change. He was going to do things right. He let out a short sigh of relief, time to go to bed he thought, time to sleep and think about the events of the last few hours. He cleared his bed and went to sleep.
The next morning began colder then the previous night. He awoke wrapped so tightly in his blanket, that his boxers chaffed him. His neck and back were slightly uncomfortable as he slept at an odd angle directly against his bedroom wall. His morning was fairly uneventful. The cold that he awoke to slowly faded away. His papers from the prior night were neatly piled on the floor. He didn’t have to go to his mundane job until two o’clock in the afternoon. So he would spend his morning as every other, thinking about school, doing odd bits of paperwork, cleaning his room and other parts of the house.
“Ugh, work.” He said out loud.
James liked his job, but it wasn’t what he had pictured him self doing. He was good at what he did. But by age twenty-two he wanted to be somewhere else. He didn’t want to be working with a fifty year old man, and uneducated college drop outs. His job, though he liked his coworkers scared him. He was scared of getting stuck. He had more talent then that. I can do better. He thought to himself. He had been in charge of much larger things before. He even started his own business for a while it was his dream come true. Now, he loathed it. He wanted nothing more to finish school, to get out of his job, to start a new. Not, that the economy at the time was ripe for new business opportunities. Thanks to a prolonged war that no one completely understood, questionable leaders, and a nation of people that seemed to be working against each other.

TRAFFIC...


Filmed in San Diego, but not the movie. No, no my friends I am talking about how horrible people are at driving in San Diego. The few hours I spend every morning driving to Downtown and home were made even worse today. Typical day just over an hour drive to work, and then another hour back. This morning, ohh its about 2 hours away, mind you it rained on TUESDAY, this morning it was just a little wet. So tell me why there were 4 different accidents? Not to mention a 10 car pile up on the 5??? PLEASE people... rain freaks us all out huh? So why is it, that people either; A. Drive EXTREMELY Slow or B. Drive like the roads aren't wet at all. How about C. Drive with caution, turn on your head lights, and make extra time. DAMN! People. Okay, I'm done. Comments?

Had Lunch with J2, Arin, mom, momsie today, then went shopping for a good 3 hours. I only spent $20.00... amazing... truly... well since I spent just over $400.00 for my digital camera I figured I would take it light. Anyway, arin and I went shopping for clothes after we hit up Sweet Factory for a good old fashoned candy raid. She helped, me pick out some clothes, that I plan on purchasing later this week... that along with this DKNY jacket I want and pair of RL jeans. But jsut look how cute she is. We bought matching wrist bands... fun stuff.

Long a waited

Turned 21 on Jan 17th 2004. What follows is a brief summation of the event.

A quick trip to the bank and we were off. Crystal, Sarah and I were on our way. The party started off innocently enough. People came and went as the night progressed. We started by ordering drinks, and appetizer... all night long. I think I turned most everyone on to those Tokyo Ice'd Teas... if you haven't had one try it. You'll love them. Many many pictures were taken with my new Baby. And well keeping true to my short attention span just check out pictures and leave comments.

Betrayed


Yes, that's right everyone... I have betrayed you all. For the last 2 years I have stood against all this "reality" TV well I am still not going to watch any of it on a regular basis... well with the exception of "The Real World" and all those other original Mary-Ellis Burnam productions. But by chance when I started Internet Explorer today Clay Aiken's music video "Invisible" started playing... well the kid can sing, and even more he has a very Musical Theaterish kinda voice. So yeah... I may just e-purchase the CD from I-tunes... who knows. But sorry ya'll you have been betrayed. But its the good kind... download his songs you'll like it, promise.

Oh in other news, YOU MUST support my Friend Joe's band This Holiday Life. They are awesome, the music is good, and well like Chris says... "Support Local Music".

The party


So often everything goes so well you wonder when its going to end. Well... Hopefully no time soon. Lets see, between going out every weekend, getting hired at the bank again, my weekly coffee sessions with Lacey and or Robyn, and all the new people I have been meeting. Life could hardly get much better. Not that there aren't a few trinkets that I do want. Like an I-pod... Especially an I-Pod MINI. Only apple could make a bunch of coolness smaller, more stylin, and cheaper. I'm gettin' me one of those. Secondly a lap top not just any laptop a Sony viao, ultra portable laptop. Third, though this one is a long way off like 8 months or longer moving to Seattle or NYC for school. ::sigh:: but other then that things are great!

I had lunch with Kathy the other day. So good to see her. We definitely got in some quality J/K time. It was very nice. We at Chins, Chinese good stuff. We always seem to have a good time together can't wait for more! Hopefully soon I can go up to LA and visit. I know its not that far... but I have to actually not be working or at school for that to happen. Anyway, we had to miss seeing "Will and Grace" because they changed the filming time. So we rescheduled for Feb., we'll go then. It will be fun.

So Life is a party... live it like one. Just remember the type of party you're at changes. Know when its Black tie only, casual, your local rager, with close friends, business etc...

I have been on this trip...


This journey started when I was oh lets say 14 for 5 years I denied I was even on this journey. Then the next 3 1/2 years I hid it.. more or less. People knew, like the friends, the family doesn't really speak about it but... well the boyfriend knew. I don't want to be dishonest or hide anything anymore. I know the LORD doesn't want me to lie. I know the LORD has a plan for me, and I will do my best to follow that. But right now I want to let everyone one know, that Jesus loves me and he loves you!
My command is this Love each other as I have loved you.

So now if you ask, I'll tell. If you really want to know then just let me know. If you don't care, if it doesn't make a difference to you. ROCK ON! Because, it doesn't to me either. If you disagree tell me about it, don't be silent... being silent for 8 years wasn't healthy. Let me know how you feel. Okay enough with all this.

It was all like a TRIP. Last night at the Comedy Store in La Jolla... wow that's all I can say. WOW, too funny a good time was had by all. We sat in the front row... we were the show. If you haven't been you need to sit in the front its the best. Just be prepared to be the end of every joke. For real. I slipped back in to 2 long island iced teas, a Newcastle and I was set for the night. Of course we had to finish it up with a walk in down town La Jolla, and the last hour at Fatcatz in Encinitas. L, C, J... all I can say.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a new position at the bank this month. I do like the Job its not bad just I need more money. So I may be working 2 jobs and going to school. That's going to be interesting. For sure. I don't exactly know how the school schedule is going to work out either. I hope I find out soon. You know what I am sayin'. Well with all that said, I have to moms house and help the grandma. If you have never meet Momsie... you really need to!

Resolution


And no I'm not talking about pictures.

Every year, we try to make these New Years resolutions for out betterment. To few make ones that we can keep, and even fewer set realistic goals. The challenge pick one, two or three goals you have for this year. But don't just make 'em, keep 'em too! Gimme a reason why they are good resolutions. So tell me what are your New Years resolutions. Here are a few of mine...
1. Quit Smoking.. its bad and nasty!
2. Keep Going to the Gym, runnin' or workin' out. It's healthy, that and I just wanna be as hot as possible... (be honest people okay)
3. SAVE MONEY. It's smart... and lord knows you'll need it some day
4. School... enough said... ugh! (I had to add that extra one!)
