schadenfreude. n.
Pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.
[German : Schaden, damage (from Middle High German schade, from Old High German scado) + Freude, joy (from Middle High German vreude, from Old High German frewida, from fr, happy).]
Maybe I'm loosing major karma points for this entry but think about it. (BTW to fully understand you need to hear the song "Schadenfreude" in the musical Avenue Q)
Basically it means you clap when someone breaks a glass at a restauraunt, or laugh when someone falls, if you have ever witnessed anything unfortunate happen to some one else and secretly felt good about it/or laughed then you know what schadenfreude means.
Ill work on putting the song up soon.
