scha·den·freu·de

schadenfreude. n.
Pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others.
[German : Schaden, damage (from Middle High German schade, from Old High German scado) + Freude, joy (from Middle High German vreude, from Old High German frewida, from fr, happy).]

Maybe I'm loosing major karma points for this entry but think about it. (BTW to fully understand you need to hear the song "Schadenfreude" in the musical Avenue Q)

Basically it means you clap when someone breaks a glass at a restauraunt, or laugh when someone falls, if you have ever witnessed anything unfortunate happen to some one else and secretly felt good about it/or laughed then you know what schadenfreude means.

Ill work on putting the song up soon.

Articles...

I have the wonderful opportunity to just browse the internet all day at work. So I thought I'd share some of the interesting artices that I found today.

GAS Prices, lets all be thankful we dont live in the UK. But then again, it seems like everwhere else they have much better public transportation. (I mean San diego CA has horrible public transportation.... its so slow. Allthough the coaster, and the trolley are getting better they still dont compare to the metro, the NYC subway/warterway/bus ssystem.

i-tunes still rocks my world... don't suppourt walmart. The next saddest attempt for them to "break in to" the consumer electornics arena. My opnion, its Ghetto not Ghetto Fab. either... just ghetto. Go to Target, go to K-Mart for goodness sake! (I mean at least they have martha)... just dont suppourt walmart.

And then it was BUSY!

Wow, it really is MONDAY. It's definitely MONDAY. I haven't had a monday, monday like this in a LONG time. Just worn out monday... I cant wait to go home but the day really isn't dragging on at all. Its one of those days were you would just rather be at home, ya know? I even have time to write some so its not all bad. I just really want to get home, change, go running, do some work and relax... (some how that dosent sound too relaxing... but it is im sure of it) and then sleep inpreperation for snowboarding TOMORROW. Chris and Lacey are coming why aren't you?! (Luke you have a bye for this one seeing as how you have a back injury... gonna mis ya on that one bro... Everyone else no excuses)

1:20 pm -
I have caught my second wind and I haven't even been to lunch yet. Here's a great quote, that was waiting for me in my inbox this morning.

"If you do not feel yourself growing in your work and your life
broadening and deepening, if your task is not a perpetual tonic
to you, you have not found your place."

*Orison Swett Marden {1850-1924 Founder of Success Magazine}

Aren't those words of advice. Yes they really are.
